Purcell International Education (PIE) Ltd. works with a variety of clients ranging from international students and their natural parents to public school districts and post-secondary institutions.

PIE provides support and service to international students in BC and throughout Canada at both the high school and post-secondary levels. Available services range from individualized monitoring and counselling services to PIE’s landmark Study Abroad+ package created to provide international students in Canadian high schools with access to a strategically-designed and managed program which includes individual counselling and support interactions, group activities and trips, and orientation events focussed on pre-departure preparation, college-admission support, and exam readiness.

PIE works with public school districts to access opportunities created by provincial Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs) in countries like China. In the case of school districts without international student programs, an MOU can create a low-impact pathway to starting a program. In the case of school districts with existing international student programs, PIE provides support to help maximize the opportunities available under these agreements including reciprocal student trips, teacher exchanges, and administrator forums. PIE currently works with three BC/Alberta school districts in support of MOU activities in China.

Independent schools are provincially-funded and regulated. As such, they have access to the same opportunities as public school districts under province-to-province MOUs. PIE is currently working with its first independent school partner to explore and access these opportunities.

PIE is working with two BC post-secondary institutes in support of accessing and engaging MOU-related opportunities in China.
